I am the owner of My day job is at a marketing and advertising firm in the information technology department. I am responsible for a number of systems, including information security, e-mail, intranet, and other networked applications for the company, as well as assisting with application development. My experiences are broad, and I am fluent in technologies from IBM, Lotus, Sabre, Microsoft, Checkpoint, and other industry standard companies.

I am a big fan of open source software, and work mostly with the Linux operating system on projects. In my opinion, open source software offers a greater value than most proprietary systems, especially when capital is a limiting factor in a project. Systems such as MySQL and PHP easily match the functionality and stability of mid-range priced equivalents, but don’t carry the hefty price tag, not to mention End User License Agreements (EULAs) that risk forfeiting privacy rights.
